Dr. Jeff Cunningham, R.Psych
He/Him
CLINICAL SUPERVISOR
In addition to being an associate, Jeff also provides clinical supervision opportunities for Doctoral Level Psychology students interested in working with adolescents and adults for Individual, Couples and Family therapy. Jeff earned a Masters in Counselling Psychology (MS) and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) and is a Licensed Psychologist in Kentucky and a Registered Psychologist in Newfoundland. He co-found the Bridges Program at Eastern Health, a psychotherapy service for young people at risk for suicide and other immediate problems. A trauma specialist, he has also practiced extensively with adolescents and adults searching for balance and direction in many forms. Jeff practices psychotherapy from an existential-psychodynamic perspective, believing that when we embrace life fully, a great peace can be found.

Dr. Janis Campbell, CCC-S

COUNSELLING SUPERVISOR
Supervision has been a main element in Janis’s private practice. She has providing supervision services for Canadian Certified Counselors already in private practice and has now begun offering supervision to masters level counselling psychology students. Janis is a Canadian Certified Counsellor, clinical supervisor, and educator. Her practice is integrated and grounded in strengths-based, narrative, and solution-focused therapies. She is an EMDR therapist and works collaboratively with her clients from a recovery-oriented approach. She is also a certified clinical supervisor and provides supervision services to new and experienced counsellors. Janis received her PhD in Education from Western University and is also a sessional instructor in the Faculty of Education at Memorial University of Newfoundland .

Heather Conran-Paul, R.Psych

ASSESSMENT SUPERVISOR
Heather joins Coastal Health in a supervisor role for the assessment team, which includes students and practitioners looking to gain competency in a variety of assessment services. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology, a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Educational Psychology and Measurement. Heather practices from an affirming & decolonizing lens which offers students opportunities of learning “beyond the text.” Heather is a Registered Psychologist and has been in private practice since 1991 providing psychological therapy, assessment and consultation services to individuals and families. Heather sits on the advocacy board for the Canadian ADHD Resource Alliance (CADDRA) and has appeared as a panelist providing education about Adult ADHD.

Dr. Sheri McConnell

COUNSELLING SUPERVISOR
Sheri is an assistant professor at the Memorial University of School of Social Work and has provides supervision to both social work students and counselling professionals. Sheri draws on clinical social work, group and community work, and advocacy and social action for social justice. Sheri works primarily with 2SLGBTQIA+ people, Indigenous peoples, survivors of childhood trauma, people who have perpetrated abuse, women involved with the justice system, and people with addictions.

Dr. Leah Lewis, CCC

COUNSELLING SUPERVISOR
Leah is Co-Director at Coastal Health and practices in the areas of grief, chronic illness and chronic pain, and gender transitioning support with individuals and families. Leah makes use of narrative and CBT strategies, as well as arts-based interventions with children, adults and families.

Dr. Sarah Pickett
She/Her
CLINICAL SUPERVISOR
Sarah is Co-Director of Coastal Health and believes that the people of Newfoundland and Labrador will benefit from the continued processional growth for counselors, therapist, psychologist, and those practicing in allied health that may often listen to the mental health concerns of their clientele. Self-reflection and learning is a core value for her as a therapist, educator, supervisor and community member.
